A nice little thing I just found

For those who don't know, when you run backwards you get a 10% reduction in speed.

A Spy runs at a velocity of 300 units per second, when going backwards, he goes only 270.

Well, I was messing around and I just found that if you strafe while you run backwards, you regain that 10%.

Sadly, you also don't go straight backwards. By strafing left and right, you can maintain a higher movement speed while running backwards. The optimal time between switching directions seems to be about 1/2 second.

Yup, so those who are trying to run away from somebody like a Pyro, don't just run backwards, strafe while you do it, and he won't catch up.

This has been another GMan production.

what was the command that shows runspeed?  is it like  cl_position or something?
