Suggestions if we're going to make this serious...

1. If we're going states, we need to do pool play AND THEN SINGLE Elimination

Why?
Because doing single elimination would be WAY too drawn out. Plus we dont have the server capcity
Maybe something like the UEFA Champion League where they have group play and then go single elimination.
That way we can assign match dates for states...

As far as tiebreakers go.
COMBINED POINTS!
I would hate for people to move on in a close match because Snuts was the highest or Cyn happened to get more points then the next offensive class.
-----------------------
2. If we're doing regions (which would put the ease on us), lets get some region captains going and do either one of 3 things
-do it up pug style from people available in their regions
-do tryouts for the regions
-Make thread and then discuss who's going to play for their region.

3. Servers and Game play type
-----------------------
We'll need to either do this on days where people can show up or make it a week period where anyone would play
Maybe weekends?

I would be nice if we could get another server or 2 just for the event

Also, I think 8v8 would work proper for something like this
-----------------------
Explanation of format for the people who don't understand
Break down into groups with even number of states
Group play makes states in the same group play each other once
Top x in group move on, others are eliminated
After group play, states that move on from group would be randomly seeded and play single elimination until
winner is determined

We know some regions are going to be way stacked.  Limit the teams to 10v10 PER ROUND.  Your team can have as many subs as you want.  And then also, teams for matches are posted before hand w/ 3 subs for that round.  You may only use a sub from outside those 3 if you CANNOT POSSIBLY IN ANY WAY field one of your subs.

Also: trippy rule to keep things even(ish), If you can get both teams to agree, each team gets to bench a person from the opposite team for the match.  So team Cali Vs Virginia, We could bench wendy, and they could bench whoever they wanted, but if say we didn't want to lose snuts (cause we know thats who they'll pick) we could say no, then they wouldn't lose wendy.

Also: Highlander + medic style, only so that you dont get turtling to stay in the match.

IDK if 10v10 is a good idea...
a lot of people tend to hate 10v10 in our spugs and ths is much bigger scope then that...

I don't know if it would be possible to get much more than an 8v8 of dedicated teammates from each region, but I guess we'll just have to see how many people show legitimate interest in this thing first.  I am impressed with how fast this little idea of mine has picked up so much interest so fast though.

I like 8v8 better.  Oh, and also, Team Southeast is gonna win.

Oh, GA, you should post links to all of the regional sub-threads that keep popping up in your first post here so that stuff doesn't get lost in this flood we are experiencing here on this board.

Well Team California is going to field like four 8 man teams then.  WE're HUGEEEEEE

or we'll have 3 eight man teams, and one 1 man team: Mr. Snuts.
