TF2F Europe practice - first session this Sunday, 2pm (GMT)

Hey all TF2FEUers!

Our first practice as most of you know is 2pm GMT this Sunday afternoon.

We're probably going to go straight into a couple of small games, just to shake people down. We'll run it like a mini-pickup, so hopefully the teams will be pretty fair. (If not, we'll consider rebalancing them in-game.)

Maps will depend on how many people we have, but we won't be running more than 9v9 (Highlander styleeee), so if we get a huge number of people showing up, preference will be given first to TF2F members and then to server regulars.

IMPORTANT: To take part in the practices, you must have a microphone and be on Vent.

If people show up on Vent at or just before 2pm, we'll organise it from there.

I'll be there, though I may be a little late. I'd like to request that people take this a little seriously (though obviously fun is still the focus), and make an effort to work together. This is the first chance we'll have to see each other's skills, so I hope everyone plans to bring their A game. This will help us figure out who is good at what roles, and where we need to focus in practices.

If you don't have access to that forum (it's the private squig forum) then you'll need to ask a site admin. Obviously, that's only if you're a squig.

I can't really repost it as it contains squig tactics. But, summary:
- Don't chatter on vent
- REALLY, I mean it, don't chatter on vent
- Don't be negative in-game, save that for after (if you have to do it at all)
- Don't talk shit to the other team

Regarding chatter on Vent, this paragraph is pretty good advice;

"We never ever ever ever need to hear you laughing into your mic. Ever. We don't need chatter about something cool that happened or frustration over getting killed. We also never need to hear explanations as to why you just got killed or failed to execute a plan. We don't need to thank each other, don't need to call out the time left in most situations (we can all see the clock), don't need to apologize, that can all be saved till after the match."
