That spy is an enemy!

This is how I play the spy in public, i would love to hear comments about what i did wrong (or good)

just put the demo file into your steam/steamapps/<name>/teamfortress2/tf folder,then open TF2 & type in console 'playdemo rape'

Don't disguise as solder/demo or anything else that slows you down. Never, ever.

Really, just don't.

actually Ive found that demo isn't that bad, a good spy can more than make up for the SLIGHT decrease in speed, which i didn't notice, but apparantly its there, just by using the stages environment to get places all fast like.  shortcuts, in short, can make up for a demoman's speed decrease.  What you don't wanna do is disguise as demo on defensive, and be in an area where your team is pushing with no stickies.  Also overall ( not a remark too the vid, just more on disguises ) i don't keep one disguise for long at ALL, i tend to try and treat them as very disposable items, and only use them for a minute at most, before striking, the cloak is much safer.  But them again not one to talk with my most points in a round being 9, and my total spy play time being 13 hours or so ^_^

I have also found success with the demo disguise. Typically it's a good one because any team is bound to have upwards of 2 demos. Also, demos don't look to strange if they aren't firing their weapon or anything.
Basically the best disguise is the one that keeps changing. You say you were sniper for most of the time, and although sniper is a good disguise in certain situations, you should never have a disguise that you fall back on. Just keep changing.
Heavy is a surprisingly good disguise btw.

I have to disagree. The Demo disguise is something you should definitely use when the situation calls for it. Disguises CAN fool players given the right context. What some players don't understand is that sometimes other players get used to the idea that a spy will never disguise as a certain class, and are inherently fooled by it.

Plus, the demo disguise is only a minor speed difference. However, soldier and heavy disguises are generally not recommended unless you are trying to fool players over being effective.

The 10% speed decrease with Demo disguise isn't that big a deal, you shouldn't be chasing people halfway across the map anyway.

No good players will get fooled. When I disguise as demoman I feel fat and slow, so I don't.

And noone say youre not as fast as a scout, you give yourself away - in scrims, you have already given yourself away if they see you - not that it stops we wtfpwning them.
