Warhammer Server Choice

Currently TF2F members have opted to play on two seperate servers.
The Vent server we use is the same Vent server for TF2F, there's a seperate channel marked WAR.


Vortex is a Core server.  This means that, aside from the RvR(Player versus Player) sections of the map you're free to go anywhere at a higher level into a lower level without fear of being "Chickened"(A means to stop high levels from killing low levels).  It also means that PvP only occurs in specific areas, or if you flag yourself as RvR capable.

Vortex is where the players of TF2F have decided to align themselves with the Order races.  Those races are the Empire(Humans), Dwarfs and High Elfs.  If you're looking to play a "Good Guy" then Vortex is the server you're looking for.


Bechafen is an Open RvR server.  This means that people of the same Tier(Roughly the same level range) are capable of killing each other anywhere, any time.  The only people they can't kill are people of the same Allegiance(Dark Elves can't kill Dark Elves, Empire can't kill Empire, etc).  This cuts in significantly into the potential exploration ease of a Core server, but allows for total freedom to be an evil mean son of a gun whenever you want.

Obviously, Bechafen is the server that the TF2F players have opted to play Destruction on.  That includes the Greenskins, the Chaos(roughly Human), and the Dark Elves.

I would so be down for order to be Core.  I hate pvp type servers, I just get ganked all the time.  Lets try to get a server that is less populated, so that we can get on consistantly.  When I played on wow I had characters on one of the older servers and it constanly was down, and over crowded.

EDIT: Drifting Castle for order, as it is at the bottom of the list may have the least amount of people on it.
Bugman for Destruction.  same as before.

Grrrr, to be honest, I like playing on PvP servers, and would like to have my main there. However, my main is going to be Order. I can and will do it the other way around if needed, but that's how I'd prefer it.

When I get on sunday for the collectors edition live in-game headstart, i'll see which server(s) are the lowest population, and try and get on those. Can't wait to play with you all!

hey guys - i've preordered the game and i've been playing in the Open Beta.  however i'm gonna have to upgrade my laptop's ram before my game's really gonna be playable.  once my technical difficulties are resolved i'd love to join in with you guys

sweet... i was just thinking of this topic... im kinda with lancer on the whole "wanting to have my main on a pvp server" but am willing to go wherever the "group goes" so i can play with you all... i have decided after getting my high elf swordmaster to lvl 10 that i am definatly playing that class for order as my first character

although i have to admit i'm surprised you're playing Swordmaster rather than Ironbreaker.  Cyrus rolling a beardless race?!
