My first completed source map. It's a remake of fy_pool_day from CS and put into TF2 in arena form. Essentially it's a symmetrical map with a giant pool in the middle.

The map is larger from the CS version to handle explosive spam and such. Ammo is plentiful and there's a small healthpack on the roof. I made it possible for all classes to get up onto the roof now via stairs, just so soldiers and demos aren't the only ones up there spamming people below. Plus, I used love playing pool day on low gravity just so I can get up on the roof, so I built it into the game.

One of the things I was worried about was accommodating snipers on such a small map with so many corridors. Luckily the roof now presents a creative option. The roof doesn't have very good cover but is high up, and the ground floor has lots of cover but can have enemies coming around corners at any moment.

Pyros should enjoy the close combat nature of the map. Even though there's plenty of water, the healthpack is difficult to obtain and the water is all in the middle of the map making them vulnerable to other enemies.

All other classes should have an equally fun time.

The control point is located in the center pool. It can only be captured by either being in the pool (don't worry, you don't have to be submerged), or by sitting on the end of the diving board which only has room for one or two people. Any struggle for the final control point that involves swimming should be a lot of fun.

This map was designed for fun. It is symmetrical and should overall be balanced, however I will be taking suggestions in the comments for changes.

Last, this is beta. There is a few changes I plan on making in future versions like:
- Good places for scouts to double jump to.
- Add a better sky box with a bit of landscape around the pool complex.
- Fix any balance issues.

Lancer says he'll try to run it on the TF2F servers today sometime. Personally I only know the map works through testing, but I actually haven't tried it with real people as of yet and gotten any feedback.

The map is designed to be like a "treat" in a map rotation or something you'd run at night as a last game when everybody starts signing off. Due to it's small nature I can imagine it being a good seeding map when there's not a lot of people on the server.

Version beta 2 of the map released. Major changes. After playing b1 on a server I realized how dominant snipers are and the map was perhaps a bit too large. The map is a lot smaller now. We were playing this on a server with a near full game and everybody loved it. It's actually a crazy amount of fun with a lot of choices and very dynamic apposed to the original pool day.
