Background

Aerospace

"The Government has issued a contract for the creation of the new line of combat planes
that are to be the standard for the near future. Two rivalling companies, Red Aerospace
and Blue Aviation, are now battling for the contract.
After many months of lawsuits, legal actions and speculation, the The Government has
decided to let both companies create a prototype, and has given advanced funding to both.
At the end of the deadline, both prototypes will be analyzed and the best one fully produced,
giving it's parent company will recieve the funding of a gazillion dollars for it.
Unfortunately, the production must be carried out in a secret location, and both companies
have been given one half of the terrain to estabilish their facilities. After many months
of hard work, espionage and peeking over the walls, they each have their own prototype ready
ahead of time. They could use this extra time to make their plane better, but stealing the
opponent's blueprints and sabotaging their planes seems like a better option.

And so their facilities have became a warzone."

Map description

ctf_aerospace is a medium sized capture the flag map with emphasis in strong points and acessible intel. Each base has a hangar with a "tower" in the back, where the Intal is located in the third floor. The Hangar and Intel room have plenty of different infiltration points so a very strong defense must be set up to prevent the enemy from getting to your Intel. On the other hand, the way to the Hangar is met with several "strong points" where an organized team can intercept and defend the fallen flag from further captures. Such points are the yard between the Hangar and the Office buildings, the office building itself and the entrance to the sewer/underpass. Defending the base is not an easy task though, as there are various ways to enter the perimeter, such as the second or first floor of the Office buildings and the sewer/underpass path.
The map features forward resupply lockers for both teams, so setting up an advanced attack or defensible position should not be hard. The problem is that the map offers clear ways to circumvent these places by going on the other way around, and with the Hangar undefended, the Intel can be extracted very easily.
Every class should find plenty of places to excel. Engies will find the forward resupply lockers a blessing, and there are a couple of places to effectively hide a teleporter in the enemy base. Spies will find a lot of places to hide and recharge their cloack, as well as places to wait and ambush players, that should also benefit the Pyro to some extent. The Soldier will find that his rocket-jump is a valuable tool to get anywhere in the map, as well as a demoman can get up to very high places. A Scout will find that he has ways of directly getting to the top of the enemy hangar, and many other double-jump platforms can work for his advantage. A Sniper has several options on the Yard between the two bases as well as positioning himself atop the Hangar might be useful. The Heavy will find that the sewers and office buildings, as well as the inside of the Hangar and the Intel room, are a perfect place for hi mto cover a lot of ground without the need to move much. A medic will be essencial for breaking up the possibly heavy defense around the enemy base, and sometimes just one Über might not be enough.

I hope you have fun with this map. Just watch out for the pits in the caves and you should be OK.

It definitely looks like you put a lot of hard work into this map. I'd like to see it on the TF2F servers.
